Why a lizard?
I like them – lizards, geckos, whatever you call them: They are fast, quirky and never seem to slow down – so, I suppose I feel some affinity with them!
When I decided to set up McAllister and Co I wanted a quirky logo that people would remember, that was something I liked and that said something about me... ...and there it was staring me in the face, quite literally, on the wall of my office (not a real one!). I then had a little scoot around the web to find out more about lizards and dotted around this website you’ll find some of the great lizard quotes I found!
I particularly liked a line from a poem by William Stafford:
At noon in the desert a panting lizard waited for history, its elbows tense, watching the curve of a particular road as if something might happen.
I am that lizard, as I start McAllister and Co, I wait for my history knowing that something great is about to happen!
